Vancouver Food & Wine

In 2020, we opened our first location serving food along with wine tasting options on the Vancouver waterfront. We are passionate about the importance of food and wine. So why did we invest in food preparation on top of making and selling wine? What is it about combining food and wine that make for such a great marriage? How are they similar? How are they different?

First, wine is food! Perhaps not the most nutritious choice, but for many of us one of the most enjoyable parts of a meal. Indeed, food itself is one of the most enjoyable aspects of life, and one that is required for our existence. While wine is not a necessity of life, it shares with food the fact that one can have an excess of either.

A lot of energy is spent on food and wine pairing, and it is a subject well worth exploring. Not all foods can be paired with all wines, and if you do have a particularly successful pairing, it can take the experience of food and wine to a whole new height. The fun part is trying different things and discovering new combinations. It means some trial and error, but when it works there are few things more satisfying.

So – visit us on the Vancouver, WA Waterfront and enjoy, and learn a little more, about food and wine pairings as you taste and ponder through our wines. View our available menu and watch our calendar of events and join us for upcoming Winemaker’s dinners or our other events which will always include food and wine pairings. For more on Brian’s passion about food and wine, check out his blog post and view recipes for some of the dishes our Chefs have created to pair with our wines. We hope to see you soon.
